FAQ

What to expect from therapy?

In our first session, we’ll focus on the intake process, where I’ll ask questions to better understand your concerns, history, and goals. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions about therapy and what to expect. From there, it will take a few sessions to build trust and rapport.

Your therapist will meet you where you are, providing a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we’ll work on developing healthier coping strategies, building resilience, and gaining deeper self-awareness.

At times, you may feel vulnerable, and there will be moments when I encourage you to step outside your comfort zone—but this is all part of meaningful growth. Therapy is different for everyone, but many people start noticing positive changes within a few
sessions.

This is a collaborative process, and open communication is key. If you ever have questions or want to adjust our approach, I encourage you to share that with me. My goal is to support you in a way that leads to lasting, positive change.

Does it mean I’m crazy or weak to receivetherapy?

Absolutely not. It does not mean you are crazy or weak. Seeking mental health services is a sign of strength, not weakness. It takes courage to acknowledge when you need support and to take action to care for your mental well-being. Everyone experiences challenges, and just like you would see a doctor for a physical issue, it's equally important to seek help for your emotional and mental health. Taking steps toward healing and self-care is something to be proud of.
